The Money Involved
Sydenham Wind Is Shafting Landowners With Their Contracts
How Much Money is Sydenham Wind Getting?
On average the landowner is getting $8,000 per year, per turbine while the owners of Sydenham Wind are getting $12,000 per year for each of these turbines.
That works out to a 40/60 cut in favour of Sydenham Wind.
Does this seem fair to you? Sydenham Wind Farm is taking advantage of the landowners.
In addition to this, the owners of Sydenham Wind are getting the entire $20,000 for all the turbines they are proposing to construct on their own properties, which happens to be most of them, as shown in the attachment here. (Two private landowner’s names were removed in order to keep their family name private for this website).
First Right of Refusal
Most landowners that have signed a contract with Sydenham Wind and IPC that includes a first right of refusal on their family farm.
What this means is that Sydenham Wind is able to buy the land first if or when it comes up for sale.
The landowners will NOT be able to sell to anyone else, including their own family!!!!
This sounds like the landowners are getting the shaft
